Congratulations Year 11 on a fantastic set of results!

The staff and governors of Archbishop Ilsley Catholic School, as well as the CEO and Board of Directors of the St Teresa of Calcutta Multi Academy Company (STOC MAC), would like to congratulate Year 11 pupils on an excellent set of GCSE results.

 

Thank you also to our staff for coming in to support our pupils as they received their results.  It is indicative of the bond and close relationships between pupils and staff that exists at Archbishop Ilsley.

 

Highlights include

  • The percentage of pupils achieving 5+ in both Maths and English has increased by 10% in two years;
  • The percentage of pupils achieving 7 in both Maths and English has increased by 4% since last year;
  • 20% of grades were at 7+ in Art, Computing, French, History, Media and Music;
  • The Product Design Department continues to be one of the best in Birmingham with over half the Year 11 cohort opting to study this option subject; nearly a quarter of all the grades pupils achieved were at A and A* and 70% achieved at least a grade 5.

 

Archbishop Ilsley’s thriving Sixth Form continues to be the first choice for well over half of the cohort.  Students enrolling in Sixth Form can look forward to expert teaching throughout their Level 3 courses and excellent guidance and support in preparation for making their post 18 choices.
