GOVERNANCE

MEET THE GOVERNORS

Georgina Doyle

CHAIR of GOVERNORS

My son was in year 10 when I became a parent governor four and a half years ago. I have worked in sales and logistics for thirty three years. My vision for Archbishop Ilsley is to help the school on its journey to achieve an outstanding OFSTED inspection and to live out its mission to be just and firm of purpose.

Elizabeth Keene

FOUNDATION GOVERNOR

I have been associated with the school for thirty two years as all of my children have been educated here and my husband was a teacher at the school. I have been a governor of the school for fifteen years. I am a practising Catholic and I was a Headteacher of a Catholic primary school before I retired. I want to see Archbishop Ilsley reach excellence, academically, spiritually and morally.

I was involved with the Labour Party and became Chairman of Sparkhill Constituency; this gave me a lot of experience in running meetings, reading, filtering and understanding extensive lengthy documentation.

Donna Maria Haughton

FOUNDATION GOVERNOR

I am an ex-pupil and ex-parent. I am a teaching assistant at St Ambrose Barlow School.

My  vision for Archbishop Ilsley is to move all pupils and staff forward in society and ensure the Catholic ethos is at the forefront of all that we do.

Mike Jones

TEACHER GOVERNOR

My name is Michael Jones and I am the staff governor at Archbishop Ilsley. I have taught history here for twelve years having previously worked at another school in our MAC, Holy Trinity for five years. I love teaching at Archbishop Ilsley and am very excited to see the direction the school goes in over the coming years. It is a school with a massive potential and plays a huge part in the local community.

I also came here as a pupil many years ago and feel proud to work at a place that has played such an important part of my life. My vision for the school is for it to continue to provide opportunities for our pupils through trips and other extracurricular activities but also to ensure our pupils leave here with the best grades possible to give them the best life chances.
