I really appreciate the fact that I am trusted as a teacher to teach my classes the best way that I see fit in as much as this education system allows. This freedom gives me the space that I need to develop student’s literacy, an important component of my subject, and to raise aspiration in whatever possible e.g. conversations about university with year 8 students. I appreciate that I do not work in an environment where I am micromanaged and ticking boxes at the expense of the bigger picture.

What we are good at:

Transition from primary school

Links with feeder schools, community and other Catholic schools

Extra-curricular opportunities

Leading Maths and English departments

The continued success of the DofE has been a real plus for the pupils involved.

Our Aspiring Middle Leadership Programme is now well established and has helped many individuals in Secondary Schools to achieve the next step on their career path with confidence. Starting on 17th October, this will no doubt be popular again, with delegates experiencing different facilitators for each session on a different aspect of Senior Leadership. This too is just £80, so book a place soon via our website: www.bctsa.org.

Don’t forget, we will also be running the ‘new’ NPQML and NPQSL programmes from November. Bookings are also open now, and are for Primary and Secondary Teachers.
