Message from the Head Teacher!

September Update:

We are now into the fourth week of term and I am delighted to report that we have had a fantastic start to the term at Archbishop Ilsley Catholic School. It is a real pleasure to walk around the school and see all of our students smartly dressed and working hard in lessons. I have also been impressed with the kindness and courtesy our students are showing to members of our community and visitors.

With the weather changing, could I please ask all parents and carers to be compliant with our school uniform. Under no circumstances will any child be permitted to wear hoodies (both the pullover and zipped variety) in and around school; should your child come through the school gates wearing a hoodie it will be confiscated. We strongly advise all parents and carers to ensure that their child has a warm coat or jacket that is suitable for the winter months. Your support in this matter is much appreciated and if you have any queries please contact your child’s Head of House in the first instance.

Last week we held our Open Evening and it was a huge success; as a new Head Teacher it is both humbling and joyous to meet so many children and their families who want to be part of our school community. I continue to be very proud of the school and I look forward to sharing more success stories over the coming months.

God Bless

Miss H Burrows
