IMPORTANT - Biometric Cashless Catering System
Goes Live – Monday 29th April 2019
I am writing to inform you that our cashless catering system goes live on Monday 29th April. This means that the canteen can no longer accept cash payments. Your child has either provided biometric data or been issued with a PIN number in order to allow them to purchase food and drink from the canteen.
If your child is entitled to Free School Meals you do not need to do anything, their lunch allowance will be added to their account each day automatical
Cly. If they wish to purchase additional items from the canteen for breakfast or break time they will need to add additional funds to their account as below.
If your child pays for their meals there are two ways that you can put money into their cashless catering account:
You can make a payment online via Parentmail
Your child can bring dinner money into school as normal and credit their meal account via a revaluation unit sited in O’Donnell Hall.
If you do not have a login for Parentmail and would like to pay online please contact school and we will resend the registration email to you.
We expect the system to improve the services we are able to offer students and staff significantly, with benefits including:
Improved security for handling cash transactions in the school
Parental ability to pay for school meals using the online +pay app
Parents/Guardians will be able to view items that have been purchased from the canteen
Reduction in administration time and cost
Reduction in queuing at lunch time
