1st May 2019
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we come towards the end of your child’s time with us at Archbishop Ilsley we’d like to draw your attention to a couple of events to mark this milestone in their life.
Next Friday, 10th May, we will gather as a year group in Holy Souls Church for a Mass of thanksgiving for which you are very welcome to join us. Mass will begin at 10.30am so your child needs to be at church by 10.15am at the latest. On this day they do not need to come to school but instead will gather at church in their own clothes. It is expected that all members of our school community will join us on this day.
This will be followed by a celebration and reflection of the last five years at Ilsley at the Holy Souls Social Club. A small snack and drinks will be provided. Upon conclusion, pupils will be dismissed and should return home. We look forward to welcoming the students back into school on Monday 13th May, where normal lessons will resume unless they are in an examinations.
Other key information:
Letters about the Year 11 Prom and Leavers Hoodies were given out before the Easter break. Prom tickets are £35 which includes a meal at the Hilton Metropole. If your child has a rhino badge they may purchase a ticket from student services before Friday 14th June.
If you child would like to purchase a Leavers hoodie for £15, this needs to be purchased by Friday 17th May and paid at student services.
The full set of GCSE examination papers start from Monday 13th May. During the examination period all students will continue to attend school as normal, until Friday 25th May.
Study leave will start from Monday 3rd June, however if your child has two examinations in one day, those students will be expected to stay in school and classrooms will be accommodated accordingly.
