Dear Parents/Carers,
It has been a short but very busy half-term! Public examinations are in full swing and we are now in the midst of preparations to welcome our new intake of Y7 students for next September.
The weather has shown signs of improving and I would like to remind parents and carers that students can now wear the school summer uniform. I would also ask all parents and carers to check the uniform policy and ensure that your child is compliant. Please note that in terms of piercings, students are permitted to wear one small stud per ear. All other piercings are not permitted. Students will be asked to remove any piercings that are not compliant with our policy and I would urge you as parents and carers not to allow your child to have a piercing they will only have to remove at school.
This is a time of mixed blessings in school as our Y11 and Y13 students complete their final examinations. It is a stressful time for students, families and staff but we wish every one of our students the very best. Please remember our students in your thoughts and prayers and we look forward to celebrating their success with you in late summer. Y11 and Y13, have faith and know that you are loved by God and all at Archbishop Ilsley Catholic School.
Monday 3rd June is a staff training day and we look forward to welcoming all of our students back on Tuesday 4th June.
May I wish all of you a happy and restful break.
God Bless
Helen Burrows
