Dear Parents and Carers,
Yesterday evening the government announced a 3 week extension to current lockdown restrictions. This announcement was not unexpected and I am sure most of you are already aware of this.
School will remain closed to the majority of pupils after the Easter holidays. Staff will continue to set work for students on Google Classrooms. Please contact us if your child is having any issues with accessing Google Classrooms and we will do our best to resolve this as quickly as we can.
For pupils who are entitled to free school meals, we are currently issuing another set of supermarket vouchers. There has been a national delay with these but we are working to get these to families as soon as we can. Thank you for your patience.
If you are a key worker and you need access to childcare during the school day, please contact the school to inform us. This should be a last resort only as the government advice is for children to stay at home and we would ask all families to follow this.
Over the coming weeks we will be writing to families with students in Y11 and Y13 to provide you with more information as to how grades will be collated for examining bodies. We are expecting further information from the examining bodies in the next week or so and will be guided by their instructions. However, we are confident that the systems being put in place are fair and robust.
Finally, I would like to thank you for your ongoing support and understanding during these very difficult times. I hope that everyone is safe and well. You remain in our thoughts and prayers
God Bless
Miss Burrows
