Letter from Miss Burrows - 05th February 2021

St. Brigid: You brought light to the darkness. You brought hope to the downcast. May the mantle of your peace cover those who are troubled and anxious, and may peace be firmly rooted in our hearts and in our world. Inspire us to act justly and to reverence all God has made. Amen

At the end of another week where we continue to live through a global pandemic, there is much comfort to be found in the words of St Brigid. We are hearing good news about vaccinations; let us pray that we will start to see a gradual return to normality in the coming weeks and months. There will be light and hope at the end of this and at school we pray for the swift and safe return of our pupils as soon as possible.

We haven't had any significant announcements from the government this week so this is a brief update just to remind you of the following:

  • School will not be open for any pupils during February half-term

  • Birmingham City Council are providing free school meal vouchers for the February half-term break and these will be sent to you as soon as we have received them

  • Key worker pupils who are accessing provision must attend in full school uniform

  • Next week Y11 and Y13 will be receiving instructions on assessments they need to complete as part of our evidence gathering exercise for centre assessed grades. It is vital that all Y11 and Y13 pupils engage with this work and submit the required assessments

We continue to pray for the safety and wellbeing of all of our pupils and their families.

God Bless

Miss Burrows
