Message from Miss Burrows - 22nd October 2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are in the final days before the October half-term break. We have had a busy eight weeks but cannot praise the pupils highly enough for how well they have adapted to the new systems in school and how they are coping with so much change.

It has been an unsettling time for everyone and pupils across the country have faced continued disruption to their education due to the pandemic. We pray that the situation will start to improve as quickly as possible and that we can start to see a return to normality in the not too distant future.

In school we have been developing our remote learning provision so that if pupils have to self-isolate, they can access the resources they need to continue their learning at home. Staff have very quickly developed a lot of new skills and are producing some excellent materials to support their classes with online learning.

In challenging times it is key that we all work together and support each other. I would like to thank you for your support and reassure you that we continue to do everything we can to keep school as safe as possible. Could I please ask that you help us by ensuring your child has a face covering to wear in school and that you do not enter the school premises unless you have an appointment.

I’d like to finish by sharing a point for reflection:

“The secret of happiness is to live moment by moment and to thank God for all that He, in His goodness, sends to us day after day.” St. Gianna Molla

May I wish everyone a happy and peaceful half-term holiday and we look forward to welcoming all of our pupils back into school on Monday 2nd November.

God Bless

Miss Burrows
