Dear Parents/Carers and Students,
I hope everyone is safe and well.
This week I want to update you on the plans we are working on for the phased re-opening to Y10 and Y12 students.
From Monday 15th June y12 students will be offered the opportunity to come into school for some sessions with subject staff. These sessions will follow current guidelines from the government and will enable students to have some contact with their subject teachers. Letters will be sent out this week with the details for the sessions.
We are hoping to offer Y12 another opportunity to see subject staff in the week commencing 6th July.
We are planning to invite small groups of Y10 students into school from the week commencing June 22nd. Students will have the opportunity to meet with a subject specialist for an academic style review meeting where we will assess what they have done during school closure and what planning is needed for September. We will be starting with the core subjects and a second meeting will be arranged for the students to meet with their options staff.
Letters will be sent out once all of the logistics have been finalised.
Later this week a guidance document will be published for parents and students outlining steps that will need to be followed for students to come into school and what the expectations are when they arrive on site.
For all other year groups online learning remains the primary delivery model and we anticipate this continuing for the rest of this term.
