Mr Brendan Bloomer – Retirement after 32 years’ service

Dear parents, pupils (past and present)

Mr Brendan Bloomer – Retirement after 32 years’ service

It is with a real sense of pride that we write to you. After 32 years of distinguished service at

Archbishop Ilsley Catholic School, we will be bidding farewell to our much loved Deputy Head

Teacher, Mr Brendan Bloomer, as he commences his retirement.

We know our school is a very special place to him, not only teaching a subject which he was

inspired by during his school years here as a pupil, but also where he has had a profound impact

on colleagues, pupils and the extended Catholic community.

As a school, we will be celebrating the career of Brendan and thanking him for his immense

contribution to Catholic education by offering a special Mass at Sacred Heart and Holy Souls

Church on Wednesday 12th July at 7.00pm.

This will be followed by a reception in the Holy Souls Social Club.

Please pass on this letter to anyone who has been taught by Brendan and who would like to show

their appreciation.

Your faithfully

The very proud staff and governors of Archbishop Ilsley (past and present)
