I firmly believe that every pupil has the right to a happy, safe and rewarding day at school. That warmth and security provided in St. Monica House provides the platform for pupil EFFORT - which underpins all success and achievement.

Every pupil will progress.

There will be both social and academic challenges at Secondary school, but St. Monica teaches us about the endurance and the power of prayer.

WHO WAS ST. MONICA OF HIPPO?

St. Monica is believed to be of Berber origin and was an early Christian saint and the mother of St. Augustine of Hippo. She is remembered and honoured for her outstanding Christian virtues, particularly the suffering caused by her husband's adultery, and her prayerful life dedicated to the reformation of her son.

She is the patron saint of married women and mothers.

HOUSE MOTTO, PRAYER AND COLOURS

PRAYER:

Give me the strength to face each day, and every challenge that comes my way,
Let me strive for what is right, guidedby your shinging light,
Keep my vision clear and true, may every path lead back to you,
With every anguished tear that falls, give me the strength to face it all

MOTTO:

Endurance is at the heart of our success
