'THEM AND US'
What is ‘Them and Us’?
This year during Tutor Time, tutors will be delivering a programme entitled ‘Them and Us’. This is an exciting new series of activities and discussions focused on strengthening the culture of our school community. ‘Them and Us’ will further support students’ understanding of the importance of demonstrating kindness, showing respect and living without harm; this message fully supports our school rules, to ‘be ready, be safe, be respectful and kind.’
Why do we believe this is important?
We have a belief, at Archbishop Ilsley, that the way we relate to each other can dramatically improve relationships. This is a skill which should be actively taught. Therefore we are dedicating three tutor sessions a week to this project.
At Archbishop Ilsley, we believe in the importance of promoting these values in our students in order for them to be kind, not just to the people who are similar to them but to those people who are different.
Throughout the year pupils will showcase their kindness through various projects and these will be posted on the school website.
