Sixth Form

at Archbishop Ilsley Catholic School

UCAS

We are proud that every year a significant number of our Year 13 students go on to Further Education.

Last year, 93% of our students went on to a range of colleges and universities across the country to study a wide range of course to include Law, Astro Physics, Chemical Engineering and English Literature to name but a few.

With dedicated support from their Head of Sixth Form, Personal Tutor and our Careers Advisor, all students are offered support and have their individual needs met.

Some of the ways in which we support our students through the UCAS application process are:

  • Attendance at the UCAS conference in the Summer of Year 12

  • Individual appointments with a Careers Advisor available throughout the academic year

  • Focused Tutor Time sessions to support university applications

  • A range of speakers and visitors from different institutions throughout A Level study

  • Information and Guidance about Open Days and Taster Courses

  • Structured Personal Statement support through Tutor Time
