Careers Events and Opportunities

At Archbishop Ilsley Catholic School, we are committed to helping our pupils and students explore a wide range of future career pathways and make confident, informed decisions about their next steps. Our careers events are an important part of this commitment, offering practical insight, guidance and experiences that bring learning to life and inspire ambition.

Throughout the year, pupils and Sixth Form students take part in a variety of activities designed to broaden their understanding of the world of work and further education. These include interactive workshops, employer visits, talks from industry professionals, mock interview sessions and our annual careers fair where students can meet representatives from universities, apprenticeship providers and employers. We also run focused events such as our Employability Masterclass in partnership with Youth Enterprise, careers guidance sessions in tutor time like Transition Thursday, and trips to major UCAS and careers conferences.

These events support our whole-school careers programme by connecting classroom learning with real-world opportunities, helping students to discover options for further education, apprenticeships and future careers, and equipping them with essential skills such as CV writing, interview techniques and career planning.
