Provider Access

At Archbishop Ilsley Catholic School we are committed to giving our pupils and students first-hand access to a wide range of education and training providers so they can learn about the full range of pathways available after school. Under the Government’s provider access legislation, schools must ensure that learners in Years 8–13 receive opportunities to hear directly from further education colleges, apprenticeship organisations, training providers and other post-16 educators about their courses, qualifications and career options.

Through our careers programme pupils will:

  • Meet representatives from local colleges, universities, apprenticeship providers and training organisations.

  • Learn about technical education, apprenticeships and other post-16 choices in assemblies, careers fairs, taster sessions and talks.

  • Have chances to ask questions and explore what different options involve, so they can make informed decisions about their own futures.

These provider encounters are part of our wider careers offer, designed to support every young person to understand all the opportunities open to them – academic, technical and vocational – and to help them choose the path that’s right for them.
