Step Up to Sixth Form

Step Up subject bridging work

Following your Step Up Days and once you have decided which three subjects you wish to study in Years 12 and 13 at Archbishop Ilsley Sixth Form,  we would like you to begin your learning journey and show us what you can do!

We would like to see just how dedicated you are to your studies.  We expect all of our new Year 12 students to complete a series of ‘Step Up’ tasks.  These tasks seek to ‘bridge’ the gap between KS4 and KS5 and give you a head start.

Your subject teachers have constructed a range of tasks for you to complete to introduce you to A level/Level 3 study. Tasks will include researching A level topics, explaining your motivations for studying your subject and engaging with subject content that you will cover in your Sixth Form studies.

There is a Step Up Task sheet for each subject area.  Please complete one line of three task boxes on each sheet.  You must complete the middle box.

Make sure that you bring your work in for your teachers to look at in the second week of Year 12.
